Hey all! I hope your Christmases were all fabulous... Mine was for sure!!! I was able to get Bella up here a few days ago and I have been playing with her every day since then! She's adapted really well and the other two horses seem to like her okay. Well, okay enough as herd dynamics allow!!! She seems to respond really well to her new name too. I have been playing LOTS of Friendly game with her and we did a little porcupine and driving game the day before yesterday. She's really responsive and attentive. It only takes about once for her to figure out what I'm asking. So far she's been moving on phase one in the porcupine game with me using my finger tips. Backing up using the bridge of her nose is getting better... she's not too fond of having her nose touched. I found that she really likes to be scratched on her face. The only real problem we're having is that she doesn't want to pick up her feet when asked, I think they are a little tender (she has black and white striped hooves). Anyways, lots of friendly on the legs, rubbing and just getting her to feel comfortable with it. She is always eager to play and she loves the daily grooming sessions!!! She is so polite and puts her nose into the halter when you put it up to her. She's going to be a great horse to play with and I can't wait to see where our journey takes us!!!!
